At the same time Al was accused of raping and murdering the wife of his commanding officer, plus the exonerated. After he met Beth, his first wife. | In the 60's was assigned to the Apollo program, becoming Apolo8 team member. At the end of the decade was reassigned to Vietnam. The gap began to stress its realción with Beth. In 1969 he was capturedby the Vietcong and was a prisoner of war until 1973. The Navy was declared Missing in Action and 2 years later left him for dead. Beth mourned a while and later married a lawyer she met at the 69. Returning home at 73 and find it empty was a blow to Al, because Beth always considered as the love of his life. So clinging to his memory was his next 4 marriages, and countless relationships, were a failure. As his personal life went down, it gave the alcohol, turning a violent and difficult to treat. In the 80's was assigned to the Project StrBrilliant her, where she met Dr. Samuel Beckett  , who became his best friend and helped him change his life. Al continued to rise in the ranks of the Navy to become the General Admiral. For 1995, Sam Ely had gotten government funding for Project Quantum Leap, based on the theories of Sam, and built an underground complex in New Mexico. Before Dr. Beckett entered the quantum accelerator, Al meets Tina Martinez, Las Vegas, who is his girlfriend 'official'. When Sam disappears, becomes his holographic guide in Time (isthe 'Observer' or 'Supervisor'). |

-> When Al enters the Imager, a projec n Hers is sent to Sam through his brain waves, visible and audible only to him. When someone else enters the house and while Al will touch will be visible but not audible to Sam. Still, the person inside can see but not hear Sam.
